North Lincolnshire Adult Education and Community Learning is committed to promoting the fundamental British Values as outlined by the Government.
The four British Values are:
- The rule of law
- Individual liberty
- Mutual respect and tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs and those without faith
Adult Education & Community Learning follows equal opportunities guidance which guarantees that there will be no discrimination against any individual or group, regardless of faith, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, political or financial status, or similar. Individual members can feel safe, valued and can contribute for the good of themselves and others.
These principles are embedded into all the learning programmes and are promoted by all staff.
My name is Jacek Cetnarski and I joined the British Values course because I wanted to improve my knowledge about British Culture.
The course is delivered on Google Classroom and it is very interesting because every week I am learning about the rule of law, individual liberty, democracy and the mutual respect of each other.
The most useful thing I have learned so far is to be more confident to speak with British people about their culture. In the future I would like to carry on with learning deeply about British Values.
My name is Agnieszka Galeska and I joined the British Values course because I want to know something new about the British Values.
The course is delivered on Google Classroom and it is very interesting because every week I am learning about democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance for different faiths and beliefs. The most useful thing I have learned so far is democracy. In the future, I would like to use my knowledge acquired during the course in my work.
