There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, you may find it helpful if you have already achieved a Level 1 qualification.

This qualification aims to:
• increase knowledge of the principles of team leading.
• increase understanding of business
• develop the knowledge needed to support communication with a range of stakeholders of different levels.

You are required to complete 3 mandatory and 5 optional units to be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Principles in Team Leading.

This is a knowledge-only qualification. Work experience is not mandatory.
The purpose of this qualification is to increase the learners’ awareness and understanding of behaviour that challenges and its effects.
By completing this qualification, learners will develop in depth knowledge of behaviour that challenges which could support progression onto other appropriate qualifications and into employment in the health and social care sector.
The qualification would be valuable to learners already working in education and health and social care settings.

Gateway Level 2 Award – Introduction to Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People

This qualification will support you to understand how to safeguard and protect children, young people and practitioners in the workplace as well as how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused. The definition of a child is a person aged below 16 and young people are those aged between 16 and 18.
