Using Microsoft Office ECDL Levels 1 & 2 (European Computer Driving Licence)

You must be 19+ years of age by 31 August 2020. You have to have been a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years or be a family member of an EEA national.

ECDL gives you the skills you need to use common computer applications. These skills will help you to succeed in the workplace.

Content & Overview
If you are reasonably confident using a mouse and keyboard but have little or no experience of Microsoft Office, then this is the course for you. During the course, you will gain skills in word processing, spreadsheets and creating digital presentations.

Suitable For
This course is designed for adults who have used a computer before and are reasonably confident using a mouse and keyboard but they may have little or no experience of Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets and presentations).

Application Method
Application is followed by an individual interview and initial assessment to establish your prior achievement in IT.
Assessment
Your tutor will assess your work. At the end of each unit, you will complete a practical online test. The pass mark is 75% for each unit test.

ECDL Level 2 Award (European Computer Driving Licence)

Content & Overview
Already have some knowledge of Microsoft Office but need to know more for work or just raise your skill set? This course is designed for you to develop your IT skills in creating accurate word documents, spreadsheets and presentations. The Improving Productivity unit revisits Word, Excel and PowerPoint in greater detail.

Suitable For
This course is designed for adults who wish to develop their IT Skills in creating accurate word documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
Delivery Method
You will be taught in a workshop environment, studying independently at your own pace on each of the 3 units you will complete.

Attendance: Tuesday or Thursday
Depending on your previous experience with Microsoft Office, the duration of the course may be less than specified here. You can also complete the course quicker if you are able to study between sessions.

Homework
You will be encouraged to work on activities at home, or in our study area, for approximately 3 hours per week as directed by your tutor.

Your tutor will assess your work. At the end of each unit, you will complete a practical online test. The pass mark is 75% for each unit test.
