Getting Back to Work Skills

Year: 2020/21
Having the right skills are more important than ever in today’s competitive job market. Our courses will help you with digital skills, team skills, communication skills and much more. These courses will help you get back to work and improve your knowledge of the modern workplace. Attending these courses will give you a head start in finding your ideal job.

Entry requirements
You must be 19+ years of age by 31 August 2019. There is no formal entry requirements, but you must demonstrate enough interest and commitment to studying.

You will learn to identify your own skills and compose a CV employers will love.

This course is for adults who are looking to update or refresh knowledge on employability skills.

Application method
An initial assessment will identify any support you may need. An individual learning plan will be created to suit your needs.
Delivery method
A variety of classroom and online teaching and learning using a computer.
Assessment
You will produce a CV and a portfolio of learning which will be internally assessed for your personal development.
Further study
Upon successful completion of this course, you can progress onto further courses such as Digital Skills for Work or ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) at Level 1.
Additional information
You will learn how to use the online Google classroom as part of the course. Please bring a notebook and pen.

Content & Overview
Learn how to use ICT (computers) to do a variety of tasks required in today’s workplace.

  • solving simple computer problems

Suitable for
This course is for you if you want to update or refresh knowledge on IT skills required in employment. Gain a recognised Entry Level 3 Award.
