NCFE Level 1 Exercise Studies

You must be 19+ years of age by 31 August 2020. You have to have been a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years or be a family member of an EEA national.

Content & Overview
Being physically active offers many rewards. As well as helping weight loss and improving fitness, exercise can help to reduce stress levels, improve sleep patterns, increase life quality and expectancy, and reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and some forms of cancer. This course will help you to identify and improve your own levels of fitness and help you make exercise part of your everyday life.
Mandatory units:

  • Unit 01: Understand the principles of exercise and fitness
  • Unit 02: Demonstrate an understanding of safety factors relating to exercise
  • Unit 03: Apply the principles of a training programme  

Suitable for
Anyone who is interested in improving their performance, enhancing their personal development and gaining an understanding of the benefits of exercise and fitness. Particularly useful if you want to lead a healthy lifestyle, want to work in the sports and fitness industry, returning to education or preparing for work. 
Delivery method
You will be provided with a course pack. As this course is delivered via distance learning you will be required to complete your tasks/assignments online via Google Classroom. To enhance your experience and provide you with additional support, we recommend you also attend the three online live classroom sessions.

To complete this course you will be required to complete three assignments via Google Classroom. In addition to this you will be required to complete an Individual Learning Plan.
