The course provides the underpinning knowledge required by employees to work in a range of customer service roles. You will complete seven units including units on:

  • How to resolve problems and deliver customer service to challenging customers

SUITABLE FOR 
This course is designed for adults who may be looking for employment, or who already work, within a customer service environment and need a qualification to progress within their career.

APPLICATION METHOD 
You will attend an information session and complete an application form which will be followed by an individual interview and initial assessment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 
You must be 19+ years of age by 31 August 2019. There are no formal entry requirements, but learners will benefit from having a good level of English – Level 1 Functional Skills or equivalent.

DELIVERY METHOD 
A variety of teaching and learning strategies will be employed including delivering in workshops and through an online learning platform.

HOMEWORK 
You will be expected to work for between 4-5 hours per week on activities at home, as directed by your tutor.

ASSESSMENT 
The course is continuously assessed using a variety of assessments – written assignments, professional discussions, workbooks and question and answer sessions.

FURTHER STUDY 
Guidance is given throughout the course regarding opportunities and careers. Upon successful completion of this course, you can progress on to the Level 3 Certificate in Customer Service, or the Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service. Alternatively, you could move on to the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 
You will need to bring a notebook, pen, an A4 lever arch file and A4 document wallets with you.

If you are in receipt of the following benefits, you may be eligible for full fee remission:

  • Job Seeker’s Allowance
  • Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) in the Work Related Activity Group (WRAG)
  • Universal Credit and earning less than £338.00 a month (single claim) or £541.00 (household claim)
  • Aged 19-23 yrs studying a first full Level 2 qualification

Fee remission is also available for eligible co-funded learners who are employed but on a low income (less than £16,009.50 annual gross salary)
